Author, your mother shall execute a rectification deed rectifying the correct survey numbers instead of wrong s.nos. if there is variation of market value as per registration office, the stamp duty shall be payable on the variation of the value. proofs shall be enclosed to the deed. but the remaining document should be not be changed, if changed the document be treated as conveyance of sale. if there is no variation in market value, no stamp duty is necessary. only fee is payable.

If the survey numbers mentioned in the settlement deed relate to the old survey numbers of the same property and the village revenue records have allotted new survey numbers, there is no need for rectification deed too. Just apply for mutation of revenue records and transfer all the records in your favor wherein you will get the new survey number endorsed, which shall be a substantial proof for your title to the property.
