If the property is already registered in your wife's name then you can not include your name in the property unless some of the share in the property is transferred in your favour. If it is not registered in the meantime then at the time of registration of the same you can include your name.

You have to make a new deed for title of property. Expence may be vary from state to state. Better to visit local Sub registrer office of your city.

Your wife can share the property with you by way of a gift deed or a settlement deed by transferring certain portion in your name.

I agree with the opinion of Vishal. there is no need of fresh sale=deed favouring you from your wife rather get it transferred either by way of gift-deed or a settlement-deed which is less expensive.

U wife can give a vardi(an application) to the concerned dept., to enter your as joint holder of the property.
