need a help regarding consumer complaint

(Querist) 07 November 2009 This query is : Resolved
i am insured with bajaj allianz life insurance company under Unit linked investment plan. According to plan i can make partial withdrawal and the same has been done by me on 20/10/09 and the company procedure was fulfilled on 21/10/09. According to the company rules payment shall reached the customer within 15 days of process. now after 15 days the payment has been not reached to me. and they are asking for 10 days more to reach the payment to me. when i asked the reason for the delay they reverted me back by saying that there was technical error in their system and for that they were disabled to make the payment. NOW my question is that whether i can file a complaint regarding this delay to district forum and what would be the reason for compensation if i will file a complaint against the company. please help me.......

U can file a consumer compalaint. Before filing u issue a notice to the ins., co., claiming compensation and interest on the delayed period.
U have to show that u were in necessity of money during that period and system error is their problem.
It cannot be exaxctly said regarding the compensation amount, it depends on the chairman of the forum.

Mr. Kathuria! Why are you unnecessarily wanting to litigate? Can you not wait only 5/7 days more? There my be any technical problem on their part ot release payment. I think you dont know how much money, time, energy etc, is required to be incurred to run the litigation. Instead of thinking to initiate any such legal action again contact the company and apprise them to compensate you for the delay. Even then if you are fond of litigation, follow the advice of the aforementioned experts.

U can also avail Insurance Ombudsman Scheme details of which are available at IRDA website [insurance regulatory and development authority], if the matter is not sorted out at company level, including its nodal officer at HO.
