Obtaining Copy of filed documents and Order from Court by RT

(Querist) 21 November 2009 This query is : Resolved
I am a party to a suit in the Chennai City Civil Court.

Order was passed in the year 2007.

Is it possible to get Certified Photo Copies of all the documents pertaining to this suit including the order by an application under the RTI Act 2005.

If it is possible what would be the fee payable?

And in whose name the DD to be taken?

Thanks.

You have to submit an application for true copies to the Registrar of the court. You have to show which exhibited documents you want. You have to deposit lumsum amount. No need to ask underf RTI.

I applied using the prescribed Copy Application form and paying the court fee. But the clerk refused to accept saying that only the appeared advocate can apply. What is your comment on this?

It is not difficult to get the desired copies. It is the process of the courts. Apply and get the same.
