What is the procedure after receiving notice from court reg contempt of court!

Sir,

My friend has received a notice from the court for Contempt of Court in a injunction suit that was obtained by my against party.

This is for interference.

What is the procedure after receiving such notice?

1)Can he request some time to appear personally?
2)Should he appear with his counsel on the designated date?
3)Should he file a counter to prove his case?

Pl enlighten us Sirs.

Your friend should appear with his advocate and request court to give some time to reply the notice.
