Admissibility of wife's Personal Diary as evidence in Divorce Case

Hello Learned Lawyers,

Husband himself leaves wife at her parent's home in another city, on some pretext and files divorce case on the basis of Adultery in his home town.

He finds wife's Personal Diary in her belongings lying in sealed cartons with him. He opens them and finds some incriminating entries which he wants to use against the wife in his case.

Query:

1) Did husband had right to open her stuff.?
2) Is this evidence, a personal diary, admissible in the court of law?

A prompt reply is requested.

Thanks & regards Tarwinder Singh

Thanks for your response Adv. Sidhhi. How the authenticity proved ? Is this not a case of breach of privacy ? Thanks in advance for responding.
