BMC woke up after 25 yrs after collecting property tax etc & declares building illegal!

What one can call it. It reminds me of the plight of flat owners of Campa Cola Compound as BMC allowed illegal construction of 4 building and woke up after 15 yrs to declare the buildings illegal and served demolition notices. This was 10 yrs back and BMC has now woke up again and mirroring what it did with 10 yrs ago.

It has issued demolition notice after collecting property tax etc for 20 yrs to a CHS in KE Ward saying 4 floors are illegal and ground floor didn't have OC.

It looks ok legally but it's burning example of rampant corruption in BMC. What was Ward officer doing when the rogue builder was carrying out illegal construction and defrauded large nos of flat owners.

Please suggest the steps to be taken by flat owners against BMC and for regularisation of the building ? TIA

Please appreciate the fact that tax collecting section / branch is different from structural audit of buildings section/ brach in BMC.

While drafting a query for consideration and obligation of experts on this platform, it would be approprite, if your emotions and personal view on the subject matter / dispute are reserved with you, if not kept aside.

Consult and engage a local prudent lawyer.

It's not imotion sir. What's mentioned is plain how BMC colluded with unscrupulous builder and allowed illegal construction and now buyers are victimized by the system.
