recently supreme court of india said that courts should not become authoritarian and it has also asked the courts not to pass irrelevant and unnecessary orders particularly when ordering the initiation of prosecution. the court opined thus in a appeal filed by one s. palani velayutham against the order of madras high court. news is reported in HINDU daily on 6-9-2009.
