I had filed a Devorce in 1997 ,but could not attend court ,as I have been staying separately since then I have never thought of getting the Devorce certificate,
can I get the certificate now.?
please advice,

Check the status of the case in the same court. If dismissed, you will have to file a fresh petition to get the decree in favour of you and then only you can get a divorce certificate.

It is unbelievable that you could not follow the case for 18 years so far. Instead you better apply fresh divorce case and get the certificate accordingly.
