EFFECTS OF A COMPLAINT CASE??

Hii,me and my friend have been accused in an istagasa case where there is no FIR involved..case filed in 2012 where my friend is main accused of hitting complainant while I am co-accused..they filed u/s 323,324,506 and 34..case has now reached evidence stage for accused.. Is there any chance of case getting over soon??Moreover I wish to go abroad can I go if the case doesn't get over soon?? Can I be declared PO due to that and what are the implications of it?? Suppose case gets over soon then can the complainant appeal in higher court and will it again waste another 4-5 years??
