Your query is not clear, it seem that  your are mentioned RCR(restitution of conjugal right),there is no preventive measure as aginst the Criminal Case of u/sec.498a IPC.Suit for RCR would not help you to  defend the case 498a IPC.If RIR lodge by your wife then you should abscond for the time being and get anticipatory bail through lawyer.

it helps in false cases.

for example if A left B's home and later A files false cases like DV and all. B at the time when A left filed a NCR stating that A left home. Although police will not investigate the matter but it will be in their knowledge that as A is not with B on particular date then she cannot state any event of particular date/s.
