We are in receipt of the attached notice under section 175 of the DMC Act from MCD demanding Property Tax Receipts (PTR) from 2004 onwards besides other things, while I have checked all my records in files etc but I have PTR in my record from 2011 onwards till 2022 with me as I may have disposed off the old data but I am confident that every year we have filed property tax.
Is MCD within their legal authority has the right to ask for such old PTRs?
What should be my reply to this letter?
Some neighbours who have also received this similar letter is saying to not send any reply.
Please suggest.
