New case

Experts,

I came to know there is a new case registered on me under "petition under section 482 Cr.Pc ", Complaint is about that i have been abusing her and took all her salary and has not treated her properly in my matrimony home, and asked dowry from her.

1. What is this 482 Cr.Pc? and the respondent for this petition is Inspector Of Police. What should i do and how should i go about it.

2. Whom to quash this case ?

All your help will be appreciable..

Background: I applied for divorce, and she started filing false cases.

482 is quashing for FIR in high court,

if she filed FIR, then how she file 482?

you can file 482

I received a call from my near by police station saying that my wife has made a complaint on me. And the police inspector gave me the case number. When i checked the case status in https://courtnic.nic.in it says "petition under section 482 Cr.Pc ", I got the case details and found that Complaint is about that i have been abusing her and took all her salary and has not treated her properly in my matrimony home, and asked dowry from her.

1. What is this 482 Cr.Pc? and the respondent for this petition is Inspector Of Police. What should i do and how should i go about it.

2. how do i close this case ?

Crpc 482 itself is a quash petition. Somehow or anyhow if ur wife filed tht then u r lucky. However there is strong possiblity that u might be confused coz how would someone who file a complain would quash her own complain ?
