Property manager claiming execess charges even after tenant vacated home

A property management company sent legal notice to tenant claiming excess utility charges and rent. Though tenant left the house within agreement period. The last month payment was adjested from security deposit.. How can they claim extra money? How to defend the tenant? Pls guide me.. I'm a new advocate

If the property management team has issued a notice, then it becomes the duty of the tenant to give a reply notice denying the allegations and averments mentioned in the notice.

Let the management go to court which can be challenged on the support of documentary evirdences in your possession.
