Registration of partnership deed

Hello Experts, 

This query is pertaining to registration of Partnership Deed under The Indian Partnership Act, 1932.

Would like to know if the Partnership Deed can be registered at the place other than the place in which the firm is situated?? Or is it mandatory to submitt the deed with Sub-Registrar's office in whose jurisdiction is the office of Firm?
