So, tomorrow you want me to go to Court and then ask for some time so that I can arrange foir a lawyer and then I should file for Sreedhan with the help of Local Police and then file for Mutual Divorce ?

@Author,

I suggest that you appear in court and apprise the court about your situation. Tell the court that you have not been able to recover streedhan and if your husband agrees to return your streedhan then you agree even for mutual divorce.

The court upon hearing your submission may order for recovery of streedhan in default and you may not need to file for streedhan separately. But yes, it is advisable that FIRST YOU TAKE ADJOURNMENT AND CONSULT A LAWYER. Without consultation from a lawyer don't go on to discuss the matter in detail with the judge or for that matter your erring husband.

By the way, if at all judge insists upon mediation, then you should agree and seek adjournment on the ground that you need time to arrange a lawyer. If you need further assistance then please feel free to send a Personal Message by visiting my profile.

Simple GM, why you worry too much for MCD. Any man would happily grab MCD with no alimony. So first appear in court and then through a lawyer mediation seek MCD. Even if you cant attend, nothing will happen as court loudly says " Pettioner present, wife absent" next date .. 2 months another date.. that's all our judicairy is about. Next time go with lawyer ( but find out using your lawyer next date using your husband OP number)
