OUR ELEEC.BILL IS COMING BIMONTHLY (60)DAYS...THE CURRENT BILL OF RS. 5400.00 HAS NOT BEEN PAID BY ME..YESTERDAY ELECT.COMPANY TORRENT POWER HAS ISSUED NOTICE TO ME UNDER SECTION 56 (1) OF ELEC.ACT 2003 THAT IF I DO NOT PAY THE ENTIRE AMT. DUE WITHIN 15 DAYS THEY WILL DISCONNECT MY POWER SUPPLY......

I WANT TO KNOW WHETHER THEY CAN ISSUE SUCH NOTICE...AND WHAT IS ACTUAL MEANING OF SECTION 56 (1) OF ELECT.ACT 2003 MEANS

you are bound to pay your electricity bill on time . if you fail to do so electrcity company can after issue of notice and granting you sufficent time discconect your electricty supply
