Share in ancestral property in mumbai

my mothers grant father property was in mumbai (Grant Road, but her brother sold it of Rs,40 lakhs in 2007 without my mother consent, and used whole money now we want to claim our right how we do this,

please guide us.

was it grand father self acquired property . ? did your grand father leave any will or he died intestate

yes it was her grand father self acquired property, no her grand father did not make any will nor her father make any will the property is sold without my mother consent and did not give us share in that also, sir please want can be done to recover money from my mother brothers.....

when did your mother come to know of the sale ? if property was sold in 2007 what were you doing for 5 years?

we did not aware bcs no one intimate us regarding this after selling, my mother's brother came to our home after four year and told we have sold the property then we did not care that time and he just give us Rs.15000/- only but Shop sell at Rs.40 lakh, what claim we can put on them please guide sir.......

contact a local lawyer . issue legal notice to brother . challnge the sale made by brother of the property
