ajay sethi (Expert) 07 September 2014
society cannot charge more than rs 25000 as transfer charges
Hemant Agarwal (Expert) 07 September 2014
1. In Maharashtra, the maximum "Share Transfer Premium" is limited to 25000/-

2. IF the Society is demanding more than 25000/- THEN file a private criminal complaint with the local magistrates court for cheating and extortion, against the Secretary & Chairman of the Society.

Society cannot charge more than provided in its bye-laws and if the same is violated, make written complaint to the registrar.
