Dear sir,

my colleague recently applied for passport. She is married for past 9 months but she has yet not applied for marriage registration. She initiated for passport and address mentioned in her passport application belongs to her fathers residence. Now local police verification team is insisting that she mentions her husband's address in passport. But owing to absence of marriage certificate she cannot mention it.

Kindly advice.

Obtain Registration Certificate.

She should not hide the fact of marriage or any other information.

She can tell that she want passport at the address of her parents provided she is living there otherwise she should furnish address of her husband if living there.

Marriage certificate can be applied.
