Rti act aplicable to co-operative societies ?

GUjarat co -operative societies Ac is not a "Public Authority" within the meaning of section 2 (H) of the RTI act and therefore, the provision of RTI act would not apply to it,so i understood that co operative societies can not covered in RTI act is it coorect? please clarify sir's.

yes co-operative society does not fall under rti

USE A VIA-DUCT:

Put an RTI application u/s 2(f) to the Registrar of Coop. for the said information.

Since he is the constitutional authority over the Society, He has to obtain the information and provide it to the RTI applicant.
