Hi,
I would be very grateful if someone can provide answers to my below mentioned queries:
1. Will the license to carry arms issued to Indian citizen, continue to be valid after renunciation of Indian citizenship and acquiring foreign citizenship?
2. Will the license to carry arms issued to Indian citizen, continue to be valid after acquiring the OCI status ?
3. Are there any different laws for NRIs and OCIs with respect to the validity of arms licence obtained in India?
4. Are NRI's and OCI's required to inform any authority about them holding the arms license?
Thanks!

Hi
Once you renounce indian citizenship, you need to surrender your arm's license and surrender your weapon at the nearest police station and state armoury. The arm's license issued to you are valid only for the state wherein you are normally residing and as long as you are an indian citizen. it is also your paramount duty to ensure that the weapon along with ammunition is in safe custody(armoury) under lock and seal and the police station where your arm's license is issued is informed of the same. please do it immediately.
