Can I apply for Completion Certificate Alone

The society is 20+ year old and the builder hadn’t provided us with the Completion Certificate. Now the society as a whole has decided to get the completion certificate but there are many illegal activities done by the builder which are not according to the plan. The society Board members are trying ways to rectify things and get the completion but the board members are also persuading us for following whatever they say which at times has no reasoning. Is it possible that I personally apply for the completion certificate for my flat.

Every owner can explore the possibilities on his own for a remedy individually.  Collective bargaining is having strength with a mighty builder,  rather than the individual fight by a common man.  Contact a local advocate and seek such remedy through District Forum

To accept possession and commence residing in a building without an Occupation certificate in itself is an offence. Only a registered CHS can apply for a Municipal Occupation/Completion certificate for the society building. It will be advisable for you to appoint a registered architect to plead your case wirh the Municipal authorities.

Well advised by expert Mr. Kishor Mehta, i agree.

Complete society (but not sole flat) has to apply and obtain completion certificate from concerned authorities.
