Consumer law

Sir/Madam,
When a consumer grievance is filed online on the consumer site, the complainant is asked to file his "Complaint with Notarised attested affidavit.".
When a self attested affidavit is made valid as per the latest regulations, why a self attested affidavit should not be accepted?

Sir,

That is the condition for filing appeals/complaints in Consumer Forum, and the forum is performing quasi-judicial functions, and notarized affidavit is mandatory for long period, and however, enclosures can be self-attested.   As affidavit forms as evidence value, they may be insisting on NA..  Every affidavit needs attestation as confirmation that the deponent signed before the authorized.
