Filing mcd- need advice

Long story short:

I am an NRI, My wife left me 3 years ago. Mutual talks didnt work. She filed divorce under desertion and cruelty- i still want to live with her. But she is adamant and now seeks divorce in MCD. I have no option other than giving it and she is not open to talk about reconciling. She verbally agreed she dont want money.

Kindly advice me about what main things I need to ensure (to be put in the MCD) that she wont demand me money currently as well as in future.

Dear Querist

yes, it should be mentioned in the Mutual settlement agreement for MCD that she is curtail her rights regarding maintinence & other monetory rights, secondly she will never filed any case against you.

feel free to call

Cover the issues:

U are taking divorce coz ur TEMPTRAMENTS did not match

No issue of harassment either side

There is no streedhan pending with u

YOu can reduce the agreement in writing before MCD.

However maintenance cases can always be reopened, how it would be fought in future would depend more upon how this present agreement is drafted.

Thanks Nadeem, Rajiv and Shonee.

I can compromise a lot for reunion.

I ought to give divorce as she still shows firmness in her decision.
