industry matter

Hi,

we have taken on lease a plot in MIDC area in Mumbai area in Maharashtra. We are going to start construction on that industrial plot. The construction shall complete in 6-7 months and factory shall start after that.  

What all legal steps should be taken by us in terms of contractors, workers, contract labor etc while construction and future employees after construction i.e. at the time of start of factory.

For the time being, till the construction of the factory is complete, you have to follow the provisions of contract labour act and construction labour act. after the completion act, you have to get registered under factories act, ESI Act, EPF Act, Contract labour Act (if contctract labour is employed) and you have to follow the provisions of Factories Act, Contract Labour Act (if contctract labour is employed), Minimum Wages Act, Payment of Wages Act, Standing orders Act, ESI act, EPF Act, Workmen's Compensation Act, Industrial disputes Act, Payment of Bonus Act, Payment of Gratuity Act, child labour Act, bonded labour act, equal remuneration act, Indian boilers act,  Maharastra regulation of employment and prevention of unfair labour practices act etc. or any other state labour laws.
