inter religion and inter nationality marriage

hello the experts,

i hav a query as fll;ows: if a hindu lady, indian citizen born, brought up and living in india intends to marry a non-hindu (chritian)  man, usa citizen living in usa, whats the best way of tieing a knot ( ? a hindu religeous ceremony available, which doesnot require conversion of religion by non-hindu man??).... i read that special marriage act 1954, no conversion is reqd. but that requires one month's notice period, prior to registered marriage. if thas to be done, can only lady give such notice? or both are reqd to sign the notice in front of authorities?or man can sign notice and send it by post?..plz enlighten on this..thnx
