Dear Sir,

Requesting you to please confirm if a private limited company can purchase a agricultural lands in the State of West Bengal.

Will appreciate if you can also share the source of your opinion.

Yes it can.
There is no prohibition upon individual or companies to purchase agricultural land here in West Bengal.

Thanks for the revert.. can it later convert the land from agricultural to non-agricultural and use it for reality or does the WB land reforms amendment act 2012 impose a restriction on its usage post acquisition.

You have to first convert the saali land into bastu to make any constructions on it.

The speed of conversion would depend upon the area where you have purchased the land.
