Hi,
I live in kalyan,Mumbai.
I have recently installed a dish connection. My house is on the 2nd floor on my 4 storey building and from my balcony or from any other side of my house,I am not able to view the south-east direction which is required for the antenna to face.Hence I had no other choice than to place the antenna on the terrace of my building.
Now the society is telling me to remove the dish since I have installed it on the society premises and out of my flat. They want me to use the existing cable connection.
My tv is full hd. Hence cable channels do not give good quality signals. So I am being forced to compromise over low quality signals.
Please tell me if there is a law which abides me from using the terrace for installing dish antenna when there is no other suitable choice left with me..?
Also please tell me what should be my rights and what I should do from now? Should I lodge the complain and where???
Please help me..

No complaint against the society is maintainable in the given case rather you have to obtain the written permission of the society for installation of antenna over their property.

In some housing societies, terrace is common to use by all members. You please check up with Chairman of Society and take proper permission from him to install the same.

you need to abide by the bye laws and the decisions taken by the MC. approach the president of the society for any exceptions, if permissible on any count
