Refusal to furnish pan card

Dear Sir...

I had a person who charged us to make a blue print for a construction of a hall, which eventually we didnt build. However, the problem is - the man (engineer ) charged us 70,000/- and we issued a cheque for his service. Now the problem is he is refusing to give us his PAN CARD details which we need for our audit purpose.

What can be done in this case?

Please let me know the solution.

Thank you.

on pan card site you can put his name & DOB and get his pan crd details .

The proper course would have been not to make the payment till he furnished the PAN.

Have you effected any TDS? If any, at what rate?

Do you really require his PAN only for audit purposes? Won't the crossed cheque payt. do?
