Service tax

hi, I am a land owner and going to devlope a township with one devloper. We are sale 50 row houses worth rs 1 crore. Now we share 35-65%. Because I do not interfare in devlopment.

At the time of registry client give me 35% cheque and 65% to Devloper. In these case can I liable for service tax ?

First you have to take service tax registration .

service tax is laible to pay on registry /collection / advances received from customers on collection basis. this amount to be collected from customers  & pay to dept.
